Anchor of Faith – Full Gospel church (AOF), (formerly known as Oman Full Gospel Church) was established in the year 1985 by a small group of Tamil Christians by the guidance of Late. Dr. Justin Prabakaran, one of the leading Pentecostal Leaders from India, who prayed and guided to form a new first Tamil Pentecostal Church in Oman.
Our Church is being run on the Pentecostal Doctrines (Apostolic Doctrines). Ours is a non-profit organization operating under Protestant Church in Oman (PCO) as a “Sponsored and Licensed Congregation”. Over the past 40 years, AOF has grown steadily, and we have as on today 200+ members including families, Children and individuals.
We meet every Friday at Ruwi New Main Hall between 6.45am and 9.00am and every Wednesday (online) between 8pm and 9.30pm. These are our regular Worship Services. In addition, we have other weekly ministries, details of which are shown in a separate section.
The Church is being governed by the Board of 7 Elders, led by Senior Pastor. R. Gunaseelan (Guna) and assisted by two Associate Pastors Pr. K. Durai and Pr Dhanesh. Children of our Church attend “Children Bible School – CBS”, every Friday between 8.30am and 9.30am in Ruwi Church Classrooms. Holy Communion Service is held on the first Friday of every month. Fellowship meal is provided at the end of Worship service on Fridays.
The congregation comprises of people of all age groups from India, especially from Tamil Nadu who come to worship in Tamil language. Sermons are generally in Tamil. However, preachers switch over to English as and when required. Translation to English will be done during special meetings and conventions.
The church supports many Missionaries, Ministries including church planting in India. Renowned preachers from India periodically visit the church. Since it’s planting, Anchor of Faith Church and the believers have been blessed by God and have grown spiritually.
